How can my dealership get involved in an Automotive Safety Patch
event?

Once your contact information has been received, it will be given to
Safe Kids coalitions in your state. Individual coalitions will be
responsible for contacting packs and dealerships about conducting
the program locally.
If there is no nearby coalition listed, please contact the
state coalition to see if there is a participating Safe Kids chapter
near you.
What are the Dealership’s Responsibilities?
Dealerships that participate in the program are asked to provide
enough indoor or outdoor space to hold the activity, as well as the
necessary vehicles for demonstrations. Dealers are encouraged to
provide refreshments for the Scouts, families and volunteers if
possible. The dealership can also increase their exposure by
assigning a staff member to educate Scouts on the safety benefits of OnStar at the OnStar station. Many
dealerships also include a giveaway item for the Scouts and their
parents/caregivers such as key chains or coupons for oil changes.
